The City of the Hills Festival, presented by the Community Arts Network of Oneonta (CANO), transforms downtown Oneonta’s Main Street into a vibrant celebration of creativity, culture, and community. For one weekend each September, the heart of the city becomes a welcoming gathering place where residents and visitors can experience free live music, hands-on arts activities, local makers, vintage vendors, and culinary delights.

Drawing a weekend audience exceeding 5,000 local and regional visitors, the City of the Hills Festival is a community-wide celebration of the power of the arts to bring people together. Festivalgoers can explore local shops and restaurants, discover artisan goods and vintage treasures, enjoy performances throughout the day, and participate in creative activities designed for all ages and abilities. Created in partnership with downtown businesses, community organizations, artists, and cultural groups, the festival highlights the people and places that make Oneonta a thriving creative destination.

Midsummer Night's Faerie Fest

Faerie Fest, presented by Community Arts Network of Oneonta (CANO) in partnership with DOSHA, invites visitors of all ages to step into a world of wonder, imagination, and enchantment. For one magical afternoon, the historic Wilber Mansion and its grounds are transformed into a fairy woodland filled with art, music, performances, creative activities, and unexpected delights around every corner.

Over 250 attendees are invited to explore immersive art installations created by regional artists, enjoy live entertainment, browse a curated marketplace of unique vendors, and discover magical experiences throughout the festival grounds. Families, friends, and faeries alike are encouraged to create, play, and connect through hands-on arts and crafts, fairy wand-making, photo opportunities, costume contests, and other activities designed to spark creativity and joy. Festivalgoers can also relax in the Faerie Mimosa & Beer Grove.
