CROP Program

The Community Arts Network of Oneonta and CROP (Creating Rural Opportunities Partnership) are working together to provide an after-school program where the children will achieve and foster a great connection with their school and community. CANO/CROP Arts in Education invites dynamic, experienced and creative teaching artists for an after-school program in Laurens, Morris, Milford and Worcester schools (kindergarten through eighth grade). CANO is searching for teaching artists that work in (but not limited to) the following disciplines:

 Visual Arts-Mural, Painting, Sculpture, Air-Dry clay techniques, Collage, etc
 Digital Media-Animation, Photography, Website Design, etc.
 Theater-Puppetry, Playwriting, etc.
 Music-Vocal, Musical Theater, Beginning Instruments, Drumming, Etc.
 Dance- Hip Hop, Jazz, etc.
 Literary-Storytelling, Poetry, etc

CRITERIA
We are looking for teaching artists that will foster creativity and imagination. The artist’s responsibilities will include:
 Designing and executing an age-appropriate based art curriculum.
 Preparing and producing presentations at assigned site(s).
 Collaborating effectively with Program Managers, Site Coordinator and Assistant’s at each school and communicating regularly with CANO staff.
 Submitting complete lessons plans, timesheets, mileage reports to the CANO Staff promptly.
