Community Arts Network of Oneonta (CANO)
Open Call – 2017 Exhibition Season

Entry Requirements: This is a juried Open Call for Exhibition Proposals. Artists may propose solo exhibitions or group exhibitions. Any individual proposal may be considered for entry into a curated group show chosen by CANO. While artists may make specific proposals within the three galleries of the Wilber Mansion, it is not guaranteed that all aspects of the proposal will be accepted. Artists who have previously had a show at CANO should wait 2 years before applying again.

About the Galleries: Exhibitions take place in one or more of the three galleries in the historic Wilber Mansion located at 11 Ford Ave Oneonta NY. For specific dimensions, see the attached floor-plan.

Application Deadline: January 15, 2017

Applications: Artists should send the following:
5-10 Images of recent work
Image List – including title, dimensions, materials and date for each work
Exhibition Proposal – 500 words or less
Artist Statement – 500 words or less

Preparing Image files: Images should be saved as jpegs, 1920 pixels on the longest side.
Files should be titled numerically followed by artist’s initials, ie: 01-jfk.jpg, 02-jfk.jpg, etc.

Submission: Entries may be submitted online by using the “Apply Online” link below. Entries may also be sent by email to canoexhibitions@gmail.com – with the subject “CANO Open Call – (your name).” Please submit all requested items in one single email.

Notice of Acceptance: Email notification will be sent by February 28, 2017

Delivery of Work: Artists are responsible for delivery and return of artwork. Work may be shipped or delivered in person to the gallery.

Sales and Commission: At least 75% of work exhibited must be available for sale. CANO retains 30% commission on all sales.

Liability: CANO cannot insure work/equipment, or be responsible for loss, theft or damage. We do the best to make sure that all work remains safe & undamaged. If your work is selected for exhibition you may wish to retain your own insurance. CANO reserves the right to use images of accepted work for promotional purposes. Submission of your entry indicates your acceptance of the rules of this show.
