Tessa Yang is a reader, writer, and Shark Week enthusiast from New York state. She received her MFA from Indiana University where she served as the Editor of Indiana Review. Tessa’s writerly obsessions include magic, ghosts, insomnia, and runaways. The recipient of the 2017 Hegarty Award for Short Fiction from the National Society of Arts and Letters, Tessa’s fiction has appeared in journals includingThe Cincinnati Review, Hunger Mountain, Foglifter, and Hayden’s Ferry Review. Her book reviews can be found at Necessary Fiction and The Masters Review. She is an assistant professor of English at Hartwick College and is currently at work on a novel about a teenager whose world disappears around her. Find more of her work at www.tessayang.com
Writers Salon takes place the 3rd Thursday each month. Readings begin promptly at 7:30 pm. Beginning with open mic, guests are encouraged to read personal works in this casual & welcoming environment (open mic is limited to 5 minutes per reader). Afterwards, enjoy a reading and presentation by a featured published author. Free & Open to the public. Donations greatly appreciated.
