Writers Salon takes place the 3rd Thursday each month. Readings begin promptly at 7:30 pm (please arrive by 7:15). Beginning with open mic, guests are encouraged to read personal works in this casual & welcoming environment (open mic is limited to 5 minutes per reader). Afterwards, enjoy a reading and presentation by a featured published author. Free & Open to the public. Donations greatly appreciated. Refreshments Served.

Pam Strother has been writing poetry since the first grade.

She has been a featured reader at the Key West Poetry Festival and the Robert Frost Poetry Festival, both in Key West, FL, and at Bright Hill Literary Center, Treadwell, NY

While living in Key West, she was the organizer for multiple years of the Key West Poetry Festival. She also organized “Poetry In Motion” a program for collecting original haiku and placing it on public buses. In addition, she was a reviewer of poetry collections for Solares Hill, a Key West weekly newspaper. Her chapbook, Here at the End of the Road: Key West Poems, was published by SeaStory Press in 2007.

Her poems have appeared in several anthologies: Key West Poetry Guild (multiple years), Butternut Gallery, Montrose, PA (multiple years, as part of their annual Word and Image shows) and Like Light: 25 Years of Poetry and Prose by Bright Hill Poets and Writers published by the Bright Hill Press and Literary Center, Treadwell, NY.

After moving back to New York, she participated in judging several Poetry Out Loud annual competitions at the local, regional and state levels.

Retired from a career as a university academic and practicing psychotherapist for more than thirty years, she lives in Oneonta.
