CANO’s Writer of the Month for August is Cheryl Petersen.
Telling her history of driving big equipment as a little girl on the family farm, Cheryl Petersen will read from her memoir “I Am My Father-Mother’s Daughter.” From Delhi, Cheryl Petersen wrote about losing crops, raising and fostering children, staying married, and learning to handle religious and scientific snobs with healthy skepticism. Petersen gives voice to an ordinary life of surviving self-doubt and realizing life doesn’t go away.
Writers Salon begins with open mic, encouraging guests to read personal works. This is followed by a presentation from the featured author. Free & Open to the public. Refreshments Served.
