Music at the Mansion – Mark VanLaeys

Featuring an open mic, followed by singer-songwriter-guitarist Mark VanLaeys. Mark has been singing and writing songs since the 70’s, with influences ranging from John Denver to Sara Groves to Dave Wilcox. Mark has performed at open mics and coffee houses around New York – with rare ventures elsewhere – like a pub in Ireland and churches in central America and Ethiopia. CANO’s monthly “Music at the Mansion” series presents a variety of musical talent, beginning with open mic & followed by a featured performance. Free & open to the public. Pass-the-Hat donations gratefully accepted. CANO’s performance space in the historic Wilber Mansion, with Kawai baby grand piano, is ideal for musicians and vocalists of all ages and experience levels, performing solo, with accompaniment or in small ensemble. Pre-registration is not required for the open mic. Walk-ins welcomed!
Doors open at 6pm…Please arrive by 6:15. Open mic begins promptly at 6:30 – 7:00pm, followed by a brief intermission & refreshments. Featured performance is approximately 45-60 min. Music at the Mansion takes place the 2nd Thursday each month for 2019: May 9, June 13, July 11, August 8, September 12, October 10, November 14.
