Curt Osgood and Henry Jankiewicz have appeared at numerous folk venues about the northeast. Osgood has been playing hammered dulcimer for over 35 years, performs, teaches, leads workshops and is an official Jam Tent Host at the annual Old Songs Festival. Hear him on 3 self produced CD’s. Fiddler Henry Jankiewicz is renowned for his skills in numerous musical genres and appearances with a number of prominent north east folk ensembles, most noticeably The Cranberry Lake Jug Band. Henry and Curt both appear regularly on the NY contra dance circuit.
Osgood has been performing for over 30 years. His main performance instrument is the Hammered Dulcimer. He also plays guitar, and banjo. With several ensembles Osgood has appeared about NY at coffeehouses, festivals, dance series, historical sites, and museums. He has released 3 CDs; Newfield Sessions, Back Then, and Christmas Memories which features melodies both old and new on hammered dulcimer, fiddle, and piano. CANO’s monthly “Music at the Mansion” series presents a variety of musical talent, beginning with open mic & followed by a featured performance. Free & open to the public. Pass-the-Hat donations gratefully accepted. CANO’s performance space in the historic Wilber Mansion, with Kawai baby grand piano, is ideal for musicians and vocalists of all ages and experience levels, performing solo, with accompaniment or in small ensemble. Pre-registration is not required for the open mic. Walk-ins welcomed!
Doors open at 6pm…Please arrive by 6:15. Open mic begins promptly at 6:30 – 7:00pm, followed by a brief intermission & refreshments. Featured performance is approximately 45-60 min. Music at the Mansion takes place the 2nd Thursday each month for 2019: May 9, June 13, July 11, August 8, September 12, October 10, November 14.
